Fox&Co worked alongside LiveXLive to produce the 2020 Lockdown Virtual Awards Show. Due to the global pandemic, live shows ceased to exist and as a result we were tasked with producing a graphics package for an awards show that would be streamed by millions of people across the globe.
Our Solution
An awards show, unlike anything you’ve experienced. Celebrating creative innovation in the live streaming space, the Lockdown Awards turned people’s homes into concert venues. Leaning into this concept we produced an intro sequence and awards show package that told the story of bringing light and colour to an industry that really suffered the wrath of the global pandemic.
Each shot was carefully crafted in CG and stitched together in a series of cuts to create the show open. Upfront, we set the narrative up with black and white shots moving through an empty, unused room. As we plug in, we move into a world of neon signage, lights and equipment being brought together through an online platform to bring performance to viewers.
The show package included a graphics toolkit, optimised for live streaming – intro sequence, awards categories, straps and bumpers. The end result was a show that paid homage to artists worldwide, proving that even in the face of adversity, creativity shines through.
